These July 21^st photos show the progress of the Fruit Street Athletic Fields is on schedule with installation of the artificial turf fields scheduled to start on August 2^nd. The photos show the status of the parking area, installation of the curbing the turf is attached to, testing a location for the irrigation well, compaction testing of the base material and installation of base stone and the drainage system below the two artificial turf fields.

The artificial turf fields, access road and parking area are still on a fast-track schedule to be completed and fully functional by this September with the remainder of the project, the natural field area, to be completed by this October.

The Parks and Recreation Department and Commission, Hopkinton Youth Soccer (HYS) and the Facilities Department, which is providing construction oversight of the project, are moving the project forward on time and on budget. Green Acres Landscape and Construction Company, Inc. is the General Contractor for the project and Shaw/Sportexe is the company hired by HYS to install the artificial turf.
